Dr Claire’s Mobile Veterinary Service is TEMPORARILY CLOSED - update 12/5/24

We apologise, but this practice is temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances. Dr Claire broke both her ankles on 13 March and was expected be unavailable for house-calls until the middle of May.  Unfortunately, the injuries to Dr Claire’s right ankle required surgery, and the recovery is much more difficult and taking longer than anticipated.  Dr Claire has been in hospital for the last 2 months, and will likely require several more weeks in hospital, followed by rehabilitation at home.  At this stage, Dr Claire is unlikely to be able to resume house calls until July 2024.

Dr Claire will be checking voicemails and emails intermittently during this period, so you can leave a message if the matter is not urgent. 

If your pet requires veterinary care while this practice is closed, please contact your local veterinary practice, or one of the other mobile veterinary services if you require a house call.  For after hours care for minor problems you can go to the Walk-in Centre at Belconnen, which is open every evening between 7pm and 10pm.  For after hours emergencies please contact the Animal Referral Hospital at Piallago or Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service at Gungahlin.
